With top TV quizmaster Chris Tarrant as its Vice president, it makes perfect sense for Princess Alice Hospice to launch 'LET'S QUIZ'. The charity is calling out to their local community to organise a quiz night event during the coming months.
The Hospice is hosting one of the first quiz nights with a staff fundraising evening, the event will see nurses battling fundraisers and doctors competing with the housekeeping and catering teams for the accolade of the 'Brightest Department'.

Quiz nights are very simple fundraisers, you simply need a venue, be it a pub, school hall or even your dining room and a pack of questions, answers and some competitive guests, the Hospice will provide the quiz pack - including questions sheets, answers, posters for publicising the event, balloons etc - and organisers simply need to find some quizzers.
The charity is suggesting that each team member pay £5 to enter, however, this is only a suggestion, and entry fees can be altered to suit the pub customers or individuals taking part. Teams should have a maximum of six members.
Local pubs, social groups, schools and community groups are encouraged to take part in 'Let's Quiz' and raise much needed funds for the charity that provides adult patients with end of life care and support across Surrey, south west London and Middlesex.
The Hospice will then host the Grand Final in April 2010 with the winners from each quiz invited to compete for a case of wine and the Let's Quiz 2010 trophy. The cost of entering the final will be £20 per team - will include nibbles.
Emma O'Hara, Community and Event Fundraiser said
'The 'Trivia with Tarrant' night last year raised over £6,500 for the Hospice and it showed us that there were lots of people in our catchment area - individuals and businesses -who enjoy quizzes and we thought we should capitalize on this. Mundays Solicitors are great supporters of the charity, their staff set the questions for the Tarrant night and I am sure they will be eager to get involved and hold a 'Let's Quiz' night in the coming months'.
