More children will have an opportunity to become part of the biggest music recording project in history this weekend when Shepperton Studios hosts further auditions for the first Voice In A Million concert.

Studios-based organisers Classic Media Group want to record 1,000,000 childrens' voices singing in harmony by the end of next year.

Wine tasting evening

The Sunbury and Shepperton Arts Association is hosting a wine tasting evening to raise money for a new piano on Saturday, October 3, at the Riverside Arts Centre, Thames Street, from 7.30pm.
Connoisseur Richard Black will hold a tutored wine tasting session, with the opportunity to taste different vintages from around the globe.
Tickets, which need to be booked by October 2, cost £12 and can be bought by calling 01932 770 325.

More patrols in Vicarage Road

Beat bobbies are continuing to monitor the situation in and around Vicarage Road, where under age teenagers buying alcohol remains a problem. They are conducting high visibility patrols and have already confiscated alcohol from a number of offenders in the past fortnight.

Neighbourhood watch plea

Police want more streets to set up neighbourhood watch schemes as they try to reduce crime in the area. For more iunformation, contact PCSO Kelly Clarkson on 0845 125 222.

Strode's College are holding Adult Education Enrolment Evening on Tuesday September, 8 from 6pm until 8.30pm.

Visitors are welcome to attend and find out more about the wide range of courses offered for adults by Strode's College and get free information and advice.
